The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangzhou) Cybersecurity Industrial Park was launched in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on Jan 19.
The first cybersecurity industrial park in Guangzhou and based in Guangzhou Science City, it features a total floor area of 106,000 square meters.
Fourteen enterprises have signed agreements to settle in the industrial park. They cover a wide variety of areas including basic hardware, application systems, commercial passwords, and information security services.
Nsfocus Technologies Group, for instance, will set up its Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao and South China headquarters in the industrial park and establish an urban security operation center in Guangzhou to provide information security services.
Chengdu Westone Information Industry Inc, the first domestic listed enterprise to focus on information security, will set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in the industrial park to help Guangzhou improve its cybersecurity governance capabilities, according to Wu Xiangyang, deputy general manager of the enterprise.
