Huangpu Kechuang Academy was recently launched to promote exchange and resource docking for local sci-tech firms in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with the support of the Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the Guangzhoug Development District.
It hopes to become a "Whampoa Military Academy" for innovators and entrepreneurs and to help boost industrial development, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Greater Bay Area.
The academy will help enterprises list on a science and technology innovation board, cultivate more sci-tech innovation enterprise candidates for listing, set up landmark startups and offer various resources to sci-tech firms, according to Xing Baowei, head of the academy.
Training programs on policy, experience sharing by listed enterprises and tailored tutorship will be provided by governmental officials, brokers, banks, listed companies and other experts.
Senior executives will attend courses and seminars to help solve problems arising in operation and management to build a prosperous ecosphere for sci-tech firms in Huangpu district.
Story-telling sessions will be held regularly to enable business starters in various industries to share their experiences and thinking. The academy expects to expand its brand with exchange and cooperation between sci-tech companies in the district.
Shi Pengfei, an official from the city's science and technology bureau, said the academy is striving to build an innovation service platform and advance scientific and technological progress.
